When: Saturday, September 30, 2023 at 7:00 a.m.
Where: Circle C Community Center ~ 7817 La Crosse Ave.
What: This is a 12-mile relay with teams of 4 runners. You are not required to have four (4) runners to participate. A runner can complete more than one leg of the relay. Each runner will run the same designated 3 mile loop within Circle C Ranch.
Upon completing each loop, the current runner must pass the Rattlesnake Baton to the next runner within the designated exhange zone at the entrance to the Circle C Community Center.
Familiarize yourself with the course and where you need to turn. The course will be marked. Use caution when running. Run facing traffic on the sidewalk or in the bike lane when available. Please get out of bike lanes if bicycles are present. Be visible. Be safe.
All participants MUST read, agree to, and electronically sign the Waiver of Liability in order to participate in the Rattlesnake Relays. This is the same Waiver of Liability that you should have already signed to participate in Circle C Run Club group runs and events. If you have already signed the Waiver of Liability, you do not need to sign it again.
Course cutting or any form of cheating will not be tolerated and will result in immediate disqualification.
The relays will occur rain or shine.

Win: Instead of divisions and speed, the winning team will be determined by how close the team comes to it's predicted finish time as submitted by the team's captain. We will employ a staggered start in an effort to have all teams complete the relays as close to the same time of day as possible.
There will be a 3-hour (15 minute/mile pace) time limit to complete the relay.
Only teams with at least two (2) runners will be eligible for any prizes.
This is a "gun time" event. Team start and stop times will be monitored by a human. Or a snake. There will be no chip timing.
The Circle C Run Club reserves the right to implement a standard over/under in minutes to every participating team’s estimated completion time to mitigate sandbagging and/or cheating.
Cost: $10 per runner on each team. Fees cover drinks, food & snacks, incidentals, and any prize(s).
